Types of Tunnels

• Two basic types of tunnels

  • Voluntary tunnels
    • Tunneling initiated by the end-user(Requires client software on remote computer)
  • Compulsory tunnels
    • Tunnel is created by NAS or router(Tunneling support required on NAS or Router)
