Dedicated service is a circuit between fixed endpoints. The circuit is owned by an end user or leased from a common carrier.
The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for exclusive use by that user.
This service may also be referred to as a leased line or nailed-up circuit.
