Special Attributes

• One or more Attribute Types form the RDN

  • The Naming Attributes or
  • The Distinguished Attributes

• An Entry must have one or more Objectclass Attributes

  • It characterizes the Entry, e.g. Person
  • It defines a set of usable Attributes
    • may contain
    • must contain

• Objectclasses can inherit Attributes from other Objectclasses

• A set of Objectclasses, Attributes and Syntaxes for a special purpose are called schema
