Children Charity – CEENet helps to plant the seeds for the future

Prof. Iskra Popova,  senior project officer at SPIDER, Swedish ICT4D broker (http://www.spidercenter.org/) and CEENet collaborative, had a presentation for World Vision (http://www.worldvision.org/m/home) - a children charity foundation, where the development of ICT instruments for humanitarian and support activities was discussed. World Vision has selected SPIDER (Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions) as their support in the pursuit for ICT-competent institutions, able to provide support to World Vision’s charity activities in Eastern Europe and Southern Caucasus. The meeting held on May 5th 2012 in Brussels, was attended by representatives from World Vision national offices from Albania, Serbia, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Prof. Popova underlined the achievements of CEENet and its members with building ICT infrastructures that could be further used also for the charitable purposes. CEENet is committed to such activities and declared further support to World Vision in Eastern Europe and Southern Caucasus.
