I. Infocom
UkrPack X.25, UkrMail X.400, Frame Relay Network.

Foreign connectivity: 2M satellite connection to TeleGlobe, Canada.

Ukrainian national data transmission network UkrPack (X.25; international
code DNIC2550) works with packet switching, the INS equipment provided by
Hughes Network Systems. The network is based on Frame Relay technology.
UkrPack consists of 114 nodes and provides access to data transmission
networks of more than 90 countries, including direct connections to DATEX-P,
Global One, PolPAK, RoSprint, RosPak, BelPak, etc. The UkrPack network
provides direct connections to synchronous and asynchronous data terminals
through dedicated lines, has gates to more than 100 networks world-wide,
uses wide spectrum of network protocols (TCP/IP, X.25, Frame Relay, SDLC,
etc.), offers data transfer rates of up to 2 Mb/s, and provides all services
envisaged by X.400 protocol, including access to Internet for all UkrPack
clients.

UkrMail is a nation-wide message handling system based on the X.400
protocol. It uses the UkrPack network as transport and has gates to such
networks as AT&T, MarkNet, MCI, Sprint, Atlas, TBX400, and Internet. The
Ukrtelecom corporation, through its center Telecom Transit, which is
connected to UUNET GLOBAL TRANSIT node in London, leases digital transit
channels to local Internet services providers in more than 20 regions of
Ukraine.

II. Ukrtelecom
A PTT but also runs IP over their network. Present all over the Ukraine.
Fiber connections between major cities, at speeds from 64k to 2M.
Foreign connections: 2M satellite connection to UUNET, London and 2M
satellite connection to MCI, USA.
Commercial ISP.

III. Sovam Teleport
Present in 5 major cities, connection through leased lines, speed uknown
Foreign connection: 2M link to St.Petersburg.
Commercial ISP.

IV. LuckyNet
Present in 20 cities, connection through leased lines from Ukrtelecom,
running at speed 64k-128k. Also some digital lines from Ukrtelecom at speeds
64k-384k.
Foreign connections: 4M satellite link to Deutsche Telecom, 512 and 2M link
to RusTeleCom (Russia).
Commercial ISP.

V. Global Ukraine
Connections to 23 cities, analog lines leased from Ukrtelecom,
also hybrid satellite links (with return parth through terrestial links).
Runs Frame Relay to Odessa (128k) and Donetsk (2M).
Foreign connections: 1M satellite to Digex and 2M satellite to UUNET.
Commercial ISP.

VI. Relcom-Ukraine
Present in 9 citiesm, connection through leased lines from Ukrtelecom,
speed up to 128k.
Foreign connection through Infocom.
Commercial ISP.
